19th April 2018 -

After the many committee nominations for dozens of local charities, the two charities that were pulled out of the hat for Beeches Yulefest 2018 to raise money for are Sutton Community Works and Onside Soccer Carshalton. We are so happy and proud to be able to raise funds and awareness as a community.

Plans are in full swing for our event this year on the 7th December, and are now taking stallholder enquiries. Please message us through the facebook page...

Donations Update!

A huge thank you to all that are involved in helping make our community event such a success, the proceeds were split between two charities again. Through all of your kind donations, involvement and support, Yulefest raised enough to give both charities a fantastic £1500!!

The Liam Charity -
Thank you for supporting 375 children in our local community reach out to Childline, through the Liam Charity Tribute Fund. Childline service is inspiration behind Team TLCs fundraising and is driven by the simple belief that no child should suffer, like its founders brother did when he took his life back in 2012 aged just 14.

Childline provides a service that no-one else does as they have pioneered a way of working that combines practice, policy and research to deliver a truly unique and life - changing service for children and teenagers across the UK. In 2017 19,481 Children contacted Childline with suicidal thoughts —that’s 1 child every 27 minutes.

Last year the Childline school service, set up to specifically to support the awareness of Childline reached out to over 35,000 children in Surrey to let them know Childline is there in their time of need.

On behalf of The Liam Charity and all the children your support has and will continue to help, thank you.

Regards
Aaron

Onside Soccer Carshalton -

I wanted to write a note of appreciation for your kind donation to our work from the proceeds of the Yulefest event. This really makes a big difference to what we do here in the local community and has enabled us to expand our project here in Carshalton. When we started the Carshalton project just over two years ago we had one volunteer coach and four or five children attending each session in a local park. We now have eight coaches and average 50-60 children attending training every session at the facilities at Stanley Park High School, with all of the children being able to attend free of charge.
Without your ongoing support this would not have been possible.

Thank you once again for all you do in the local community. It is greatly appreciated and it makes a huge difference!

Best wishes as always,
Paul and the Onside Team

The Diamond Riding Centre in Carshalton who provide therapeutic riding and carriage driving for children and adults with disabilities and Onside Soccer a sports charity helping young people learn valuable life skills, by setting up football and basketball academies.

The Beeches Yulefest committee is already planning 2017 and welcome anyone enquiries for stall holders.
